Pyrography Art
Creating images using standard tools and substrates of the mediums most common today produce a wide variety of finished works to enjoy and ponder. Each hold their own strengths in the renderings they are manipulated to convey. But among them there is a rare technique that is only in recent years making a resurgence. The art form of pyrography, or pyro-graphics. Drawing with heat or fire. Typical substrates are wood, paper, gourds and hard nuts. But many artists are using papers of high archival quality like 100 percent cotton rag. These have different textures which lend to the effect and can be easily colored with multiple media if desired.
